Remove your optional cloud sign-in account and associated data from your device.

Cathexis (“we”) lets you delete your optional cloud sign-in account and remove associated data from your device. Cathexis is published by Ketra Labs (developer name on Google Play and the App Store).

Delete in the app (recommended)

If you signed in with Google (Android) or Google / Apple (iOS):

  1. Open the Cathexis app.
  2. On the home screen, swipe to the Profile page (third dot in the page indicator).
  3. Tap your profile avatar at the top.
  4. Choose Delete Account.
  5. Read the confirmation, then confirm deletion. You may be asked to sign in with Google again for security.
  6. Keep an internet connection until deletion finishes.

You can also open Settings → App Support and use the account deletion option there when signed in.

If you never created an account

Cathexis works fully offline without signing in. Your journal, mood logs, and other wellness data are stored only on your device. To remove that data:

  • Uninstall the app from your device, or
  • Open Settings in the app and use Reset to Defaults (clears local app data and preferences).

Request deletion by email

If you cannot use the app (for example, you lost access to your device), email us from the address linked to your Google account:

support@ketralabs.com

Include: “Delete my Cathexis account” and the Google account email you used to sign in. We will verify ownership and process the request.

What is deleted

When you delete your account in the app, we delete or clear:

  • Your Firebase authentication account (Google / Apple sign-in)
  • All local app data on that device: journal entries, panic logs, mood data, breathing history, custom truth cards, learning progress, emergency contacts, and app settings
  • Subscription linkage on that device (RevenueCat identity is reset; your Google Play or App Store subscription must still be cancelled separately in your store settings if you do not want renewal)
  • Analytics user identity on that device (reset when analytics is enabled)

What may be kept (and for how long)

  • Google Play / App Store / RevenueCat purchase records — Transaction history may be retained by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat per their policies for billing, tax, and fraud prevention. Cancelling Cathexis Pro is done in your device’s subscription settings (Google Play → Subscriptions or Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions).
  • Anonymous analytics & crash data (if enabled) — If you left Anonymous Analytics on in Settings, Firebase may retain aggregated or pseudonymous usage and crash data for up to 14 months, without journal text or health log content. Turn analytics off before deletion to stop new collection.
  • Support emails — If you contacted support, we keep your message only as long as needed to respond and meet legal obligations.

We do not store copies of your journal or panic log content on our own servers; those live on your device until you delete them or uninstall.

Timing

In-app account deletion is processed immediately when it succeeds and cannot be undone. Email requests are handled within 30 days (typically sooner).
